What is My Attendance about?

My Attendance is an online app / website for students to record their presence at lectures, practicals and other teaching sessions. Your own information from My Attendance is fully visible to you in StREAM, where it is combined with other information about yourself to create an engagement profile (or “rating”). Your information will only be visible to yourself and appropriate members of university staff. It will never be visible to other students.

How do I access My Attendance?

My Attendance is part of the MyTU Student Portal. You can download MyTU as an app or access online via mytu.tees.ac.uk.

How do I register my presence at a teaching session?

During each mandatory teaching session, your lecturer will provide you with a four digit validation code. Enter this into My Attendance for the relevant session and click Register.

How can I report any problems using My Attendance?

You can report classes that did not take place, or that are missing from your list, from the My Attendance screen in MyTU. Just click on the indicated link.

If you have any other technical problems accessing My Attendance or the MyTU app, please contact the IT Service Desk (details at the bottom of this page).

What happens if I forget to register the code during the teaching session?

You can register the code at any point on the day in question.

How can I report my absence from the University?

Please report your absence from classes due to illness or other reasons to your School.
