Adobe Express can be used to manipulate a wide range of documents, allowing you to combine multiple files into a single document. This can be very useful, especially when considering Turnitin assignments, that will currently only allow a single file as a submission.
Whilst it doesn’t possess the rich fullness of Acrobat, Adobe Express has a range of “quick actions” that can speed up your workflows, allowing you to carry out several tasks quickly and effortlessly. In addition, these can be done through a web browser and don’t require any software to be installed on your device.
To combine files in Adobe Express, use the following steps:
Open Adobe Express on your desktop or mobile device (https://new.express.adobe.com/) as normal.
Depending on your interface will dictate the exact steps. You can either:
- Click the blue plus icon in the top left, select Quick Actions, and then select Document.
- Alternatively, you may see the Document option at the top of the page.
Both of the above will take you to the Documents Quick Actions panel.
Click on Combine Files.
Click where it says Tap to upload a file. The Open dialogue box will open, allowing you to select the files you wish to combine. You can select them one at a time, or you can select multiple files at once. For example, click the first file you want to select. Hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard, and select the list file. All the files from the first to last will be selected. Alternatively, holding down the CTRL key on your keyboard will let you select individual files.
Click Open when finished.
You can adjust your selections, adding more or removing files as appropriate.
If required, you can rotate files – especially useful for images to ensure consistency.
Once finished adding files, click Download to complete the process.
Adobe Express will now combine your selections, and download them onto your device as a PDF file. Depending on your browser settings, the resulting file will be saved to your device, usually in the Downloads folder.
